ABOUT STONEBRIDGE
Built on Infrastructure, Not Guesswork
Stonebridge Ledger & Advisory Services was founded on a simple observation: most finance problems aren't people problems. They're process problems. We fix the systems underneath your numbers so you can actually trust them.

FROM THE FOUNDER
Why I Started Stonebridge

Most growing businesses don't actually need a CFO yet. What they need is the financial infrastructure that lets leadership make decisions with confidence.
I've spent 20 years inside high-growth and PE-backed environments — as an auditor, a controller, and a CFO — and one thing becomes clear very quickly: the difference between companies that scale smoothly and those that struggle usually isn't revenue. It's financial discipline and visibility. When reporting is fragmented or the numbers aren't trusted, leadership ends up spending time debating the numbers instead of deciding what to do next. That's where the real bottleneck shows up.
My focus in those roles was never just producing reports — it was helping leadership teams understand what the numbers meant and how they should shape the next decision. That meant improving cash visibility, strengthening reporting cadence, building disciplined close processes, addressing working capital pressure, and translating financial signals into operational decisions.
Those experiences are what shaped Stonebridge. We build the financial infrastructure that sits between bookkeeping and a full-time CFO — because clean books were never the goal. They're the prerequisite for strategy.

HOW WE THINK
Growth Creates Complexity. Good Finance Creates Simplicity
Every growing company eventually hits the same wall. The close starts taking longer. Reports require more manual work. The same reconciliations get rebuilt every month by hand. Leadership asks a simple question, and finance spends days pulling the answer together.
The instinct is usually to hire another accountant. Sometimes that's the right call. Most of the time, it isn't — the real issue is that the business has outgrown the processes it was built on. We've seen companies where five different people export data from five different systems into five different spreadsheets just to answer one question. Everyone is working hard. Everyone is competent. The system just wasn't designed for the business they're running today.
We ask the questions most finance teams don't have time to ask:
- Why are we doing this manually?
- Can these systems talk to each other?
- Should this report even exist?
- What can we automate without sacrificing accuracy?
- How do we spend less time preparing data and more time helping leadership make decisions?
That's where a fractional controller or CFO earns their keep — not in the close itself, but in the questions asked around it.

OUR APPROACH
Controller-Level Infrastructure First
Stonebridge is built around fractional controller and CFO functions — the systems, processes, and financial oversight that make a company's numbers dependable. For smaller clients who need a foundation first, we layer in monthly bookkeeping as the base of that infrastructure. But the core of what we do, and where we spend most of our time, is building and running the financial backbone that lets founders trust their numbers and make decisions with confidence.
WHO WE HELP
Founders Who Are Ready to Get Serious About Their Numbers
We typically work with companies that:
- Are growing quickly
- Have outgrown basic bookkeeping
- Aren't ready for a full-time CFO
- Want financial insight that supports real decisions
More specifically, that includes:
- Founders who've just raised funding and need clean financial systems in place from day one
- Business owners doing $250K–$10M in revenue who are ready to scale bookkeeping
- Companies whose books are behind and need a cleanup before tax season
- Entrepreneurs preparing for a bank loan, investor meeting, or major decision
- Businesses that have tried managing finances alone and hit a wall
When the foundation is in place, finance stops being a reporting function and becomes a decision partner to leadership. That's when businesses really start to scale. If managing your company's finances has started to feel like a second full-time job, that's exactly the problem we were built to solve.
